Support Groups:
Catholic Charities offers two support programs for separated and divorced persons— Stepping Stones to a New Life and Next Step. Stepping Stones to a New Life is a six-week program that helps recently separated or divorced men and women rebuild their lives. Based on a series of books by Dr. Bruce Fisher, the Stepping Stones program helps people deal with the various emotions associated with separation and divorce including denial, fear, loneliness, guilt, rejection and anger. Other topics include sexuality, letting go and working with children affected by the divorce or separation. For details on these programs please contact Mary Jo McGonegal at the Family Life Bureau of Catholic Charities at 302-655-9624.
