Divorce Recovery Workshop
St. Elizabeth Seton
10655 Haverstick Rd., Carmel, IN 46033
7:00
P.M. — 9:00 P.M., Tuesdays, September 30 – November 18, 2008
This workshop offers gentle guidance toward recovery from the tragedy of divorce and pathways to growth through self-recovery.  Each participant must be divorced or a legal separation must be in place (i.e. one member of the marriage must have filed for divorce with the court).  The session consists of eight consecutive Tuesday evenings from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M.  Each session begins and ends with a prayer.  The Workshop is progressive, and while attendance is not mandatory, the best results are obtained when the attendee is present.  This is not a support group!  Weekly assignments help participants to arrive at positive decisions regarding their emotional trauma.  This is meant to be a healing experience.  Special encouragement is given towards increasing the spiritual, emotional, and physical stability of the participant.
The workshop is provided under the direction of the Diocese of Lafayette and Archdiocese of Indianapolis.  Facilitators have received training through the Diocese of Lafayette.  A registration fee of $25 includes two texts and handout materials.  For more details and a registration form you may download a flyer from the Archdiocese of Indianapolis website.

Divorce and Beyond:
A 10-Week Program with Proven Results for Those Experiencing Divorce
Durango, CO
Various dates and locations
You announced that you are getting a divorce. Your friends don't know what to say, so they're staying away? You feel cheated and angry? Sound familiar? You are not alone.
There are loving, dedicated therapists who will support you through this mourning process into healing and acceptance. You will share your experiences with a small group of others, men and women, who are also undergoing this seemingly hopeless trauma. This is a safe and confidential setting. There IS light at the end of the tunnel.
What About the Children? — When you are enrolled in Divorce and Beyond and you feel that your child or children would benefit from association with other children who are in the same boat, so to speak, you can enroll them in a class designed especially for them. It meets at the same time and place as Divorce and Beyond. We talk about custody, visitation, Mom's house and Dad's house and play games designed to bring repressed fears into the open. This program is limited to children aged 6 through 12. Sometimes they get tired of learning concepts after being in school all day, so we do puzzles, drawing and other creative activities.
These programs is presented by the Colorado Lifework Foundation, a 501(c)(3) Colorado nonprofit organization, and is offered periodically. The cost of the 10-week program is $25. Scholarships are available. For more information and the latest schedule please call Ginny at 970-385-5575 or Therese at 970-247-0435.
